In this year’s Passion Play, the light vanquishes the darkness in an all new take on the greatest love story ever told. Through the eyes of John the Evangelist we follow Jesus in His mission to bring the light of God’s love into the world: to those imprisoned by the darkness of shame, guilt, and sin, He leads to liberating light, and those who prefer the darkness plot His crucifixion and death.

In a short film weaved throughout the play, hope overcomes despair in the lives of three young people– each fighting their own inner darkness. When their paths cross, they each discover the power of that light that no darkness can overcome.
