Confirmandi are to select Confirmation Sponsor by Saturday, December 31, 2018.

 

CRITERIA FOR SELECTING A SPONSOR:

• Must be a faithful and practicing Catholic-Christian.

• Must be at least 17 years of age.

• Must have received all three Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Communion, Confirmation)

• Photocopy of Sponsor’s Baptism and Confirmation Certificate is to be provided to Julia Dela Cruz on the first class on January 12, 2019.

 

NOTE:

• Sponsor need not be the same gender as Confirmandi.

• Sponsor need not be the same as the Baptism Sponsor.

 

The Confirmation Sponsor will be the one to stand behind the Confirmandi at the Ceremony. Their role is pivotal in ensuring that the Confirmandi live up to the expectations of Jesus Christ after the Confirmation Ceremony.

 

• Sponsors are to fill out the “Sponsor Information Form” on Page 17 of the Confirmation Package which includes the signature of the Pastor and the Seal of the Parish where they attend Mass every Sunday.

• Sponsors are to attend the three Parent/Sponsor Meetings.

 

CONFOPOSAL: Confirmandi are encouraged to come up with a creative way to ‘propose’ to their Confirmation Sponsor.
